Social Activities

Club members, whether riders or non-riders, look forward to an array of year-round activities and events that offer enjoyment, friendly competition, education, and a chance to relax and socialize with other members, friends, neighbors and landowners. They include:

• Puppy walking and regional hound shows in the spring
• The Maryland Spring Hunter Pace circuit
• The HC-IBH Old Fashion Race
• Regional steeplechase events and tailgating
• Summer trail rides and cook-outs
• Roading of the hounds and cubbing in early fall
• Opening Day Meet and Blessing of the Hounds in November
• Junior Foxchasing Day
• The Thanksgiving Day meet
• The Howard County-Iron Bridge Hounds Ball in December
• Joint meets with other area clubs, meet breakfasts, and potluck dinners throughout the year either at our loft or at the invitation of other clubs
