HUNTER TRIALS

Maps will be available in the PPF lodge on the Friday immediately prior, and possibly on hcibhounds.com  Course available for walking at noon on Saturday immediately prior to event.

 

NOVICE DIVISION: Approximately 1 mile over 10 or more fences not to exceed 2’6’’

 

CLASS 1 – HUNT TEAMS/PAIRS: To be ridden tandem with the last fence jumped abreast.

 

CLASS 2 - NOVICE ADULT: Open to all riders 19 and older.

CLASS 3 - NOVICE ADULT: Open to all riders 19 and older.

 

CLASS 4 - NOVICE JUNIOR: Open to all juniors, 18 and under.

CLASS 5 - NOVICE JUNIOR: Open to all juniors, 18 and under.

 

 

GREEN DIVISION: Approximately 1 mile over 10 or more fences not to exceed 18’’

 

CLASS 6 - HUNT TEAMS/PAIRS: To be ridden tandem, last fence jumped abreast.

 

CLASS 7 – GREEN

 

CLASS 8 – GREEN

 

 

HUNTER DIVISION: Approximately 1 mile over 12 or more fences not to exceed 3’3”

 

CLASS 9 – HUNT TEAMS/PAIRS: To be ridden tandem, last fence jumped abreast.

 

CLASS 10 – HUNTER

 

CLASS 11 – HUNTER

 

OPEN HUNTER STAKES DIVISION: Open to all horses, Up to 3’6’’; purse distribution: 1st $30, 2nd $15, 3rd $10, 4th $5

 

CLASS 12: OPEN HUNTER STAKES

 

MASTERS’ CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS

Open to 1st & 2nd placed finishers from Classes 10, 11 & 12. Judged on performance, manners, and way of going as a field hunter. Master’s Cup and ribbons. No entry fee.

 

Conditions & Prizes

Open to all (need not be a member of a hunt); to be ridden in proper hunting attire and tack. Horses must be hunting sound; schooling fences provided, no schooling over courses. Riders must sign releases prior to mounting. Ribbons awarded in each class except the master’s class.

ENTRY FEES: $15.00 per horse per class.
